E.I. Medical Imaging Interviews Dr. Jill Colloton

Posted by Jim Turner on Thu, Apr 24, 2014 @ 10:15 AM

I am excited to be able to provide some of the interviews we filmed at the American Association of Bovine Practitioners that took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2013.  The first of such interviews we are providing is one of our very good friends and a great supporter of ours, Dr. Jill Colloton.

Dr. Colloton recently taught a basic bovine reproduction class for E.I. Medical Imaging in Abbotsford, Wisconsin, and it was very successful.  We are glad to have Dr. Colloton as a supporter and we would love for you to support her too.

We continue to have education and training regarding the use of our durable and portable ultrasound systems throughout the year, and in nearly every region of the country.  If you are interested in taking a basic bovine reproduction course, we can register you for an upcoming class. if you are interested in scheduling a class with Dr. Colloton we highly recommend her services.  You can visit her website at Bovine Services, LLC.

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a free demonstration of our Ibex® Portable Ultrasound, contact us today.

Spring Is In The Air At E.I. Medical Imaging!

Posted by Jim Turner on Thu, Mar 20, 2014 @ 01:06 PM

SpringCalvesSpring is in the air here at E.I. Medical Imaging. I know that many of our customers have been fighting through the cold weather and the snow and ice that comes with a harsh winter and if they are like us here at E.I. Medical Imaging, we are ready for the warmer weather.

It's nearing the end of the calving season for many of the beef producers in our area.  Every morning I drive by fields with a new crop of calves being added to their herds.  We were recently out demonstrating our Ibex® Pro to a horse vet who was checking a mare for Spring breeding season and one of those milling around the barn said they currently had 1000 calves on the ground.  That's a pretty big number!

I know there really isn't a calving season that is the same for everyone, but here in Colorado it seems that many a rancher likes their calves to be from about March to May.  I can assure you that it is not a good idea to compare your wife's term of pregnancy (9 months) to a cow, (I have made that mistake), but seeing that calves around here here are born at this time of the year it seems breeding season is just around the corner for many cow/calf operations.

Yesterday we met with a entrepreneur in the bovine and equine reproduction area and you can imagine the conversations and the topics that come up in the conference room here at E.I. Medical Imaging.  I am always curious to know about how our customers in the beef industry and their practices. Do you AI your cows or do you turn out a bull with them? We are always here to help any beef producers with their questions on how to use ultrasound to assist them in their reproduction program.  We can also help their vets with gestation tables and many other tips and tricks. We would love to demonstrate our portable ultrasound system to them.  In the months to come we will be talking more about beef operations and how ultrasound can do some powerful things for you and your herd. Stay tuned as we roll out more in this topic.

In the meantime, enjoy the warm weather.  I hope that we don;t have to endure one of our crazy deep snow Spring storms but I also know that we could use the extra moisture others so desperately need right now.  Happy Spring everyone!

E.I. Medical Imaging Back In Nashville For NCBA!

Posted by Jim Turner on Tue, Feb 04, 2014 @ 09:57 AM

NCBA LogoWe were recently in Nashville Tennessee for the AAEP trade show and conference and we had such a great time, we decided to make another trip to Nashville for the NCBA

The National Cattlemen's Beef Association trade show and conference is beginning for us today at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.  They posted on their blog site today their own kickoff:

"More than 6,200 cattlemen and women from across the country are registered to attend the 2014 Cattle Industry Convention and National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Trade Show, which kicked off today at the Gaylord Opryland Resort. The convention, which will run through Feb. 7, is the largest annual gathering of the beef industry."

That's a lot of cattlemen!  There will be plenty of Beef producers at the NCBA and we hope to meet each of them and introduce them to our Ibex® Lite and our Ibex® Pro in addition to our Arms-Free I.C.E.

Of note there will be two educational areas at the trade show which will provide an opportunity for live animals and hands on instruction. In addition, and new this year is the NCBA Learning Lounge, which will feature 30-minute educational sessions to provide attendees valuable educational tips from industry experts in informal, face-to-face, technology-friendly classroom settings. It will be interesting to see if companies like ours can provide some education and training of equipment.

Nate Alexander, our National Sales Manager will be in attendance at the NCBA show in Nashville.  He would love an opportunity to see all of you at the show and provide you with a look at our Ibex® Lite and the Pro.  Ask Nate about the Arms-Free I.C.E. and be sure to ask him about what our trade show special is in Nashville.  He would love to provide both a demonstration and perhaps a quote for you to own your own Ibex®. Feel free to contact us if you want a demonstration.
