Frequently asked questions
How does the Herd IQ aging AI work?
Herd IQ bases the age assessment on the fetus only (not fluid volume, placentomes, or other reproductive structures), and it will withhold a result if the visual information provided is inadequate. A clear “not yet” is more useful than false confidence. The more of the fetus you show it, the more accurate the assessment.
How do I determine the confidence in age?
Red - Low accuracy, and it should not be used
Yellow - Medium accuracy, but ideally we would like more of the fetus
Green - Highest accuracy, and should be the goal of each scan
30-130 days pregnant: the model is typically within 3 days
130-150 days pregnant: within 5 days
150 days plus: 10-20 days
Which devices does Herd IQ run on?
Herd IQ runs natively on the IBEX LITE NXT and IBEX PRO NXT systems. No secondary device is needed.
Does Herd IQ need an internet connection or video streaming?
No. Herd IQ runs on the device itself. There is no streaming and no connectivity required, so the answer appears while the cow is still in front of you.
Do new Herd IQ features require new hardware?
No. Each new Herd IQ model is released as a software update that is backwards compatible with the NXT console you already own, so new capabilities never mean new hardware.
