As everyone gets back to the grind following a couple weeks of holiday madness, we at E.I. Medical are reflecting on an exciting and successful 2025. As has been the case over our 40+ year history, we were busy designing and launching new products, working tirelessly to improve existing ones, and looking to the future with groundbreaking technologies. - Following the overwhelming response to the new Lite NXT in the fall of 2024, the
Ibex PRO NXT officially launched last spring. Offering all the same features as the Lite NXT, the same outstanding image quality, and compatibility with our best-ever Insite NXT headset, the Pro NXT replaces its workhorse predecessor with a bigger screen but a lower overall weight! For routine large animal reproductive work, look no further. - A major firmware update for the NXT platform was released later in the year adding a review menu, new layers of image improvement, a deep standby mode, and more. - We spent many hours in the field this summer, creating
new and improved settings and exam types for the EVO III and SA2 models; if you haven’t updated your firmware lately, be sure to visit our website for the download here! - At AABP in September, we previewed the first model of our Herd IQ feature, which is now available and enabled on all new NXT ultrasound systems! Herd IQ is an AI application that is designed to improve speed, accuracy, and results in bovine reproductive ultrasound. This first model is a binary pregnancy detector – a great tool for helping new scanners to gain confidence and avoid misidentifying urinary bladders, ovaries, and blood vessels as pregnancies.
