Today at E.I. Medical Imaging, we are having our own version of a backyard BBQ celebration to kick off the 4th of July weekend.  Our office is having some favorites like beans, macaroni salad, chips and burgers, among other 4th of July fare.  We will be closed here at E.I. Medical Imaging on Friday, July 4, 2014, in honor of America's Independence Day.  We sincerely hope all of you have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend and we will be back in full swing for business on Monday, July 7, 2014.  In the meantime, if you need anything at all, please contact us!

It's a big month for us here at E.I. Medical Imaging.  The title of this post could have been less broad but there are far too many things happening this month that we need to celebrate.

To all of our neighbors to the North, we would like to wish you a Happy Canada Day!  Today all Canadians are celebrating Canada Day and we wish you the best. The other thing affecting all Canadians and something we have been learning about and implementing here at E.I. Medical Imaging is the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).  This requires all Canadians to opt in to receiving email and communications from businesses like ours.  If you have not done so  and would like to opt-in to receiving communications from our company please subscribe today!

Registration for the OPU and IVF course in Tulare, California is nearing the deadline.  Registration for the course will remain open until midnight on June 27, 2014.  There are a few remaining spots left for the course and we encourage you to get registered ASAP!

As I mentioned in my last blog post, June is National Dairy Month!  Many people in the dairy industry are celebrating with specials on their dairy products.  In fact, we are giving away a free battery with the purchase of a portable ultrasound system in the month of June.  June is also the month of many other celebrations including holidays like Father's Day and probably more importantly to the brand new veterinarians out there entering the world of veterinary medicine, its also a great month for Graduation!

I have been a huge fan of milk as long as I can remember.  I grew up with milk and I can remember my Mom complaining that she could never keep enough milk in the fridge.  My brothers and I would love to be the first one to crack open a brand new jug of milk and more times than not we would be tossing the empty gallon container in the trash when we drained it dry. My kids have taken on this new role and my wife and I have been recently complaining that our kids may be drinking us out of house and home with their consumption of milk.

As you can see we proudly waive the American Flag as we celebrate our 30th Anniversary of manufacturing veterinary portable ultrasounds.  Here in the United States, we honor those that allow us to waive the American Flag.

As an advertiser in the media, we at E.I. Medical Imaging rely on many magazines and other periodicals to broadcast our message of having one of the best veterinary portable ultrasounds in the industry. We decided we would turn the tables and actually interview the interviewer and that is the case with Walt Cooley.  Walt is the Managing Editor of the Progressive Dairyman Magazine.  Progressive Publishing produces the magazine and we recommend  anyone in the dairy, forage, and beef industries to pick up a copy of the magazine or subscribe.  They do a really good job of covering topics in those industries.  Here is a video we did at the AABP show in Milwaukee of Walt Cooley.

E.I. Medical Imaging is very proud to announce they have added another product to its already stellar group of durable and portable veterinary ultrasound systems. Joining the Ibex® Lite and the Ibex® Pro is the new Ibex® LS.  

The Ibex® LS has been specifically developed to replace the very popular Bantam model of portable veterinary ultrasound systems.  The Ibex® LS will also be manufactured and serviced at the company headquarters in Loveland, Colorado. The Bantam portable ultrasound is no longer being manufactured at their facility and in August, 2015, the Bantam reaches its end of service life.  The new Ibex® LS replaces the Bantam with all the features and the same durability and portability of the Ibex® Lite. "We knew this day was coming and we wanted to be prepared to offer all of our customers an alternative that is affordable and will continue to provide them with the best possible portable veterinary ultrasound unit for their needs", said E.I. Medical Imaging's president, Chas Maloy.
   
The Ibex® LS is specifically designed with the swine market in mind.  "Our swine customers are the largest number of customers currently using our Bantam model and we wanted to offer them the latest in technology and advancements our company can provide", said Maloy.  He added, "The swine customer helped our company reach 30 years of service, we owe it to them to provide the Ibex® LS. We are excited about this offering."

The Ibex® LS unit is nearly identical to the popular Ibex® Lite model, with the difference being it supports a hard wired sector probe and carries with it a two year warranty. The Ibex® LS package comes with a transducer, the Insite® 2 Goggles, hard carrying case and carrying pouch and strap along with other features. The Ibex® is ready to be shipped to customers beginning on May 1, 2014.  The portable and durable veterinary ultrasound unit also comes with the legendary service E.I. Medical Imaging is known for in the veterinary ultrasound industry.
