I would have to say if I was keeping track of what this year has been thus far, I would call it the "Year of The Shark". We have had our share of great turtle news this year but by far our involvement with the ultrasound research of sharks has been the most exciting. The image below provides an up close and personal look at what it looks like on a research expedition with the OCEARCH team as they tag, blood sample and of course ultrasound a Great White Shark.

We wanted to bring everyone up to speed on what is going on at the Behler Chelonian Center ("BCC") as of June 2013. If you recall we recently provided the BCC with an Ibex Ultrasound that was purchased through the donation from Patagonia. Our company then provided a pair of goggles to be used by the BCC along with their system. We were excited to see this image as provided by the conservancy in their newsletter.
No Holidays For The Farmer! E.I. Medical Imaging Recognizes A Hero
By Jim Turner on Wed, Jul 10, 2013 @ 04:00 AM
In America we recently celebrated the 4th of July holiday, or Independence Day, and for some of us we even enjoyed an extra few days off of work since the holiday fell on a Thursday allowing for a day off on Friday and of course, the weekend.
This was a great celebration in my family as well because of the fact that I have a son celebrating his birthday on July 4 and my wife celebrates her birthday the day after. To say the least, we had a grand time with birthday cakes, fireworks and some mouth watering BBQ along with our time off on the long holiday weekend.
