Education and Training is a big part of what we like to offer our customers here at E.I. Medical Imaging.  It is important to us to offer the latest information in the use of our portable and durable veterinary ultrasounds.  We recently had an offering of a basic bovine reproduction class in Springfield/Colombia, Missouri, on April 10.  I have heard those that attended learned a great deal about how to use their ultrasound.

At E.I. Medical Imaging we get a number of questions about our product but we also get use case questions from many of our current customers and general questions from the public about bovine reproduction and other issues in our industry.  One recent conversation I wanted to share with you as many of you may have this question. I thought it would be good to share with all of our customers and potential users.  The question I will put forth first and the response to the question was written by our very own in house veterinarian, Dr. Erika Wierman. Dr. Wierman is heading up our education and training here at E.I. Medical Imaging and we will soon be launching more information about our program.  For now we will be happy to respond to questions like these:

One of the buzz phrases that has been sent around our offices has been the idea of having  advocates in our industry.  It's always nice to have a large following, or many people that understand your business and can be a sales force for you. The industry we are seeing many recent articles about and an industry on the rise for the need for advocates is in agriculture.  They are calling them "agvocates".  Recently a group in Canada has launched the beef advocacy and education program.  We wish the all the agvocates in Canada and their program all the best in the future. In a recent visit to one of our customers here in Colorado,it was learned that a virus can be a deadly peril as well as one that will be a huge detriment to a business.  When I asked the manager what was being done to combat deadly PEDv, the response was simple, "Everything we can." We have been watching the happenings at the Denver Zoo for quite some time as they are a user of the E.I. Medical Imaging Ibex® Pro Durable Portable Ultrasound System. They use their system for many of the zoo animals and we get a chance to see it in action with a video provided by the Denver Zoo.  The ultrasound of a pregnant tamandua is the first we have seen of this species.

It has been a year of trials and tribulation and tragedy and triumph for us here at E.I. Medical Imaging.  This is a look back at what was a year somewhat like a roller coaster ride.  A year of very good high times and a year of some low points.  We have weathered the storms of the year and we look forward to a 2014 filled with its own challenges, opportunities and I am sure difficult times as well.  Here is a look back at 2013.
