We have been running what some of us have been calling the Black Friday/Cyber-Monday/Ibex Orange Holiday Special now since November 25. We have been very busy here with year end inventory counting, with attending the AAEP and just generally trying to stay on top of things during the holidays. Originally we wanted to run this sale through the close of business on Friday, December 13, 2013.

Bovine Reproduction and the ROI of Portable Ultrasound
As we sit here in the midst of completing our budgets for 2014 at E.I. Medical Imaging a common question is for us to look at expenditures for the previous couple of years and ask, "What was the return on the investment?" Suffice it to say this is a question asked in any business setting and for any department. The same can be said for veterinarians and livestock producers. As the title of the article here infers, what is the return on investment of purchasing a portable ultrasound system? We here at E.I. Medical Imaging are the first to try to find ways to make the systems we sell more affordable for our customers. In fact we discuss this at length every time we get together in a sales meeting, a marketing strategy session, and even now as we prepare our budgets for 2014.
Shark Week Continues With Ibex® Portable Ultrasound!

At E.I. Medical Imaging we like to stay on top of what is happening in our industry of portable ultrasound. We like to find out what is happening in the world of veterinary medicine, how the farmers are doing with their crops and we like to stay informed and know what is happening in the beef world and the latest news from the dairy farms. How I Spent My Summer Vacation Away From E.I. Medical Imaging
Last week my family and I made the trip from Colorado to Orlando, Florida. The 6 of us have spent 2 years planning and saving our pennies to make a memorable trip to Disney, and Universal Studios, and a day at the beach. It was everything we had hoped for and more.
Portable Ultrasound Being Put To Good Use For Turtle Conservancy
We wanted to bring everyone up to speed on what is going on at the Behler Chelonian Center ("BCC") as of June 2013. If you recall we recently provided the BCC with an Ibex Ultrasound that was purchased through the donation from Patagonia. Our company then provided a pair of goggles to be used by the BCC along with their system. We were excited to see this image as provided by the conservancy in their newsletter.
EIMI Donates Portable InSite2® Goggles To Turtle Conservancy

LOVELAND, CO- E.I. Medical Imaging (EIMI) has recently sold an Ibex® Pro Portable Ultrasound System to veterinarians at The Turtle Conservancy and the Behler Chelonian Center. The center was able to purchase the portable ultrasound system due to a generous donation from Patagonia. In addition to the Ibex® Pro Ultrasound system, E.I. Medical Imaging will donate a pair of Insite2® Goggles valued at US$1500.00. The Turtle Conservancy will be using the Ibex® Pro Portable Ultrasound system in their routine diagnostic medicine, such as making a diagnosis about whether a turtle or tortoise is holding eggs, and it will provide new research evidence to describe the reproductive cycles of some of their most important species, including the critically endangered Ploughshare Tortoise from Madagascar.“We are honored to have our company partner with the Turtle Conservancy to continue their research and their work in protecting the most endangered turtles and tortoises and their habitats worldwide,” said EIMI President, Chas Maloy. “We consider it our company’s social responsibility to assist these nonprofits in doing this most important work.” EIMI is very thankful for the Turtle Conservancy and their continued hard work in saving endangered turtles all over the world.

The Turtle Conservancy is chartered in California, as a nonprofit scientific and educational organization "for the conservation of turtles and tortoises around the world." Since 2005 the Conservancy has supported a highly successful breeding program at the Behler Chelonian Center along with many other in situ research projects, adding to knowledge of chelonians. Turtle Conservancy Headquarters is located in New York City. The Behler Chelonian Center is located in southern California: the Mediterranean climate is ideal for raising turtles and tortoises.
